Personal Developer Instance stuck on Launching / Not Opening

Hi everyone,

I am currently working on the ServiceNow learning course and trying to launch my Personal Developer Instance (PDI). However, the instance is stuck on "Launching... Unfortunately we had no running instances immediately available so we are building an instance now."

It has been quite some time, but the instance is still not opening.

Details:

  • Instance state: Launching / Building

  • Course: Micro-Certification – Welcome to ServiceNow (Zurich)

  • Tried refreshing and waiting

Questions:

  1. How long does it usually take for a new instance to become ready?

  2. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?

  3. Should I terminate and relaunch the instance, or keep waiting?

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Recently, I heard in a case that it takes 1–2 hours to wake up, so waiting is the only option.”
