Transitioning from BPE to Impact
1
Make sure the settings, roles, and custom definitions you had in BPE are set up in Impact.
2
Turn off Real-Time Prevention in BPE and start using it in Impact.
3
Start using Diagnostic scans in Impact.
4
Once you’re comfortable with both in Impact, turn off and uninstall BPE.
Note: If you want to keep historical scan data from BPE, export it first. It won’t carry over to Impact. And if you run BPE and Scan Engine at the same time during the transition, schedule them at different times to avoid slowdowns.
A full BPE uninstallation guide is attached at the bottom of this post.
