Hi @keerthikoru
A Simulator provides you with a virtual environment to perform labs(You can Check certain simulator based courses on ServiceNow University). It comes with a certain validity period.
On the other hand, an Instance is your own environment, and it does not have any validity restrictions, only thing is if you are using Personal Developer Instance , then you need to refresh it on weekly basis or else it may hibernate.
If my reply was useful, please mark it as Helpful and accept it as the Solution.
Warm Regards

HI @keerthikoru
When you register the online training through Now Learning, you gain hands-on experience using a simulator. It allows you to follow the steps and perform tasks similar to real-world scenarios, helping you understand how the actual work environment functions.

A ServiceNow Simulator is a hands-on, assessment-based environment within Now Learning that tests administrative and implementation skills through real-world scenarios, often required for micro-certifications
A ServiceNow instance is a secure, isolated, cloud-based, single-tenant implementation of the ServiceNow platform, containing an organization's data, applications, and configurations
