How can I transition my career from BMC Remedy and BMC Discovery to ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM?

I’ve been working as a BMC Remedy and BMC Discovery ITSM technical consultant for the past 5 years, primarily handling administrative tasks, development, and managing a first-line support team. Recently, I successfully upgraded a long-overdue BMC Discovery system and aim to broaden my skill set.
What steps should I take to make a smooth transition to ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM? Should I focus on certifications, hands-on practice, or specific ServiceNow modules first? Any advice on leveraging my BMC expertise for this transition would also be helpful.

It is benefit for you that you already have experience in BMC , which means you know the basic of system. To make career in SN, you can start with basic, we called Admin, where you will understand the SN basic concepts / terms etc. To get this, you can start with Admin training in Now Learning and then from there you can go for ITSM and other modules.
