How to refresh/sync Repository Configuration Source Control Branches

David Hubbard

We have a scoped application linked up to Source Code Control via a "Repository Configuration".

My question is: if a branch on the app is created externally and pushed to Git Repository - is there a way to get that new branch showing in list of Branches that Studio shows - on "Switch Branch"  - in the drop down list.

We are currently on Zurich, and started this app long before this - I'm sure that I have used a "Sync  Branches" or "Refresh Branch List" on "/sys_repo_config.do" page previously - but there doesn't seem to be any options in the "Related Links" menu list on this page now.

Has something changed in Zurich (or earlier) to remove this or am I mis-remembering and that function is somewhere else?

Thanks

So, the correct answer is:

Make sure you are in the same scope as the Repository Configuration - as the "Refresh Repository" Related link only shows when you are in that scope.

Selecting "Refresh Repository" should then show the new branch (as long as it has been pushed to the remote/origin server)

I have raised a support ticket - the branch I added externally and pushed did eventually (several hours) in the "switch branch" list.  But I'm feeling there should be something option to to allow for immediate selection of the new branch.
