Data Lookup in ServiceNow automatically sets a field value based on other field values, without scripting.
Example:
Category = Hardware + Subcategory = Laptop → Assignment Group = Hardware Support
Think of it as a configuration-based lookup table, instead of hard-coded logic
This helps other users find accurate and useful information more easily

Data Lookup rules are used to set field values automatically on the Task table and its extended tables (like Incident, Problem, or Change Request) based on specific condition matches.
