Hi All,
can you answer below questions?
- Who all can Qualify and approve the demand?
- Can a demand have more than one idea associated with it? (Correct me if I am wrong - only one demand can have one idea)
- How stakeholders are added to the demand automatically? (Correct me if am wrong - they get added based on the selected portfolio from stakeholders table if you have any associated with the portfolio.)
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hi,
When the user submits an idea and the demand manager approves the idea, automatically creating a demand from that idea.
1. The Demand Manager can Qualify and Approve the Demand.
The demand manager can also select multiple ideas on the Ideas list and then select Accept, Defer, or Delete from the Actions choice list.
2.Yes, a demand can have more than one idea associated with it ,to pro-grammatically associate multiple similar ideas to a single demand. They can have many to many relationship ,if not you can create many to many relationship.
For details you can refer the below link.

Demand managers can enhance a demand request by adding stakeholders, requirements, risks, decisions, and resource plans.
3. When a demand is submitted, the demand stakeholder list is populated automatically from associated portfolio. You can also add stakeholders. To add a person to the stakeholder list, scroll to the Stakeholders related list on the Demand form, click New to create a record, and fill in the form.
When adding a stakeholder from the demand form, the Portfolio field displays the portfolio that was selected on the Demand form.
A demand can have multiple stakeholders and a stakeholder can be associated with multiple demands.
The newly added stakeholder is automatically associated with the current demand and any other demands that use the same portfolio.
Please mark it as correct /helpful if it helps for you.
Regards,
Pooja

Can you tell me how do you associate multiple ideas to demand without doing any customization. I never asked for any customization. We can do anything with customization.

Without doing customisation i.e without creating many to many relationship also we can add multiple ideas to demand ,already parent and child relationship exists between idea and demand .You need to configure only related lists in demand form ,by which you can add multiple ideas to demand.

Even if I do that, don't you think system will create a new demand each time an idea is accepted? And if we ignore an idea without marking it as accept then user will never know if his idea is ever been accepted. I think it is designed in that way only. Each idea must have one demand.
