Hi all,
We´re migrating our existing Project Management landscape over to ServiceNow SPM - Washington DC Release.
When starting testing with Utah version, we were able to import a MS Project Masterplan with links to several projects.
Now with the new version, I can´t import these master plans when containing dependencies between the master plan and a linked project.
Strangely enough, I first get the message that the subprojects were imported with the parent task as placeholder (as expected).
Second that the import was complete (also as expected).
But then the error message "Error Message Cannot invoke "com.snc.planned_task.core.PlannedTask.isProject()" because "task" is null".
Any ideas?
I´ve created a new project to test. So as long as I don´t have any external dependencies (in ServiceNow speech), I´m able to import the master plan without an issue. With the first dependency, it fails.
Is there a special setting or else we have to consider?
Thank you,
Andrea

Hi @AndreaViviK , I think I faced a similar use case in my experience with Work4flow. Give the below steps a try:
Open the MS Project file and review the dependencies to ensure they are correctly defined and linked.
Log in to your ServiceNow instance and navigate to the project import settings.
Verify if there are any new configurations or settings in the Washington DC Release related to project dependencies.
Ensure that the MS Project file format meets the requirements for importing into the new version.
Create a test project in ServiceNow and try importing a simpler MS Project file with dependencies to isolate the issue.
If the import succeeds, gradually increase the complexity of the MS Project file to pinpoint where the problem arises.
If the issue persists, consider reaching out to ServiceNow support with the specific error message for further assistance.
Let me know if it doesn't work. I'll be happy to assist.
