Monitor cost and resources in Enhancements.

Hi there!

 

I'm facing some issues with some client requeriments. They are working with Demand records which will be converted into Enhacements...

 

the problem here is...any cost or resource plan created in the demand will not be transferred to the enhancement so...the client can't monitor cost and resources from the enhancements.

What is the best practice in order to monitor cost and resource from the enhancements? What suggests Servicenow? It's a future improvement or not?

As a resource plan's relationship to a task is at the base task level, I would venture to say that resourcing can be enforced on Enhancements by adding the related list for resource plans to the Enhancement form view. Then by adopting the code from the Business Rule "Update Resource Plan on demand approval" to activate and update the resource plan when the Enhancement value changes, much like the OOTB is rerouting the resource plan to the Project once it is created off of a Demand.
