Thanks for your response @AndersBGS.
I went into "Manage Instance Password" > clicked "reset instance password" > then logged back in & that did the trick (see screen shot for reference).

Hi @bgrindele ,
This is not normal behaviour, hence I would suggest you below:
1. Try to log in as normal - doesn't it still work?
2. Go to https://developer.servicenow.com/dev.do#!/home and press "Manage instance Password"
3. If above doesn't work, I would suggest you to "reset and wipe instance".
