Greetings all. Complete newbie here. Just learned of the existence of Service Now. I need to configure a DEV instance to include the Project Management PPM portions of SNOW? Is there a quick reference guide to doing that? Thanks in advance!

Hi,
First Step would be to enable the PPM Plugin in Service Now. Below thread would be useful where I have explained on how to activate the PPM Plugin:
PPM-related plugins (Demand, Project, etc.).
Below are the steps mentioned in the above thread toactivate the PPM plugin:
There are some dependency plugins which needs to be activated first in order to Activate PPM Plugins. Please find the list below:
The Sequence in which you have to Activate Plugins are as below, based on which once done then only you would be able to activate PPM Suite. Navigate to Plugins module and search for each of these plugins mentioned below and Activate them:
1) Timeline Visualization
2) Project Portfolio Suite with Financials. Activating this plugin also upgrades the Demand Plugin required for Activating Project Portfolio Suite.
2) Click on Activate/Upgrade Related Link to activate the same.
3) Once this has been activated "Project Portfolio Suite" automatically gets activated with you to use the functionality:)
4)Once the Plugin has been activated Please go through the below Links and Videos which would be really helpful to learn on the same:

Welcome to the world of ServiceNow
ServiceNow Docs are your friends...
Project Portfolio Suite
You will need to navigate to plugins and activate the Project Portfolio Suite.
If you have the admin role, use the following steps to activate the plugin.
- Navigate to System Definition > Plugins.
- Right-click the plugin name on the list and select Activate/Upgrade.
- If the plugin depends on other plugins, these plugins are listed along with their activation status.
- [Optional] If available, select the Load demo data check box.
- Some plugins include demo data—sample records that are designed to illustrate plugin features for common use cases. Loading demo data is a good policy when you first activate the plugin on a development or test instance. You can load demo data after the plugin is activated by repeating this process and selecting the check box.
- Click Activate.

Thanks, very helpful. And to Jeff Thurston as well.
This looks like it's going to be a long road...
I'm currently a CA PPM administrator / developer and we are looking at switching to Service Now.
Thanks Again!
