Unrestricted user license type in SPM ServiceNow

In ITSM and SPM there is Unrestricted user license type. As per ServiceNow definition, all active users who are part of sys_user table will be considered into billing when it comes to unrestricted users. Now for ITSM I took unrestricted user license type and for SPM I don't want unrestricted user licenses. Below are my questions

  1. In this combination how it will treat? If I take unrestricted license for ITSM does it count for SPM also as unrestricted users or will it count based on roles (vice versa)?
  2. I hope there is no role to be associated to unrestricted user (as per definition). Yes/No?

This question should really go to your account team.

But, if a customer asked me in a conversation, I would from the top of my head state that for 1) you can have ITSM as an unrestricted license and SPM as a Named User license - those named users would be assigned roles which would make them consume an SPM license.
For 2 I agree, there's no "role" as such for ITSM unrestricted, all users that are counted (depending on the contracted definition of an unrestricted user) would count, role or not.

But, again - this should really be brought to, and verified by, your account team.

But why it has to go through account team? It is general question which applicable to everyone, isn't it?

I would hope and think my answer is correct, in general. But, since there can be nuances to an agreement between a Customer and a Supplier (be it ServiceNow, or another supplier) - the only "true" source is the one that has access to said agreements.

In this case - I don't, so I can only answer in general terms.

@Mihir YSSS Another great SN Licensing question!  @MattiasJonsson is right, this is a licensing question and you need to speak with your SN License Reseller to confirm all of these details because it does vary sometimes.
