Configuration item in Change Request

Anyone can help to how to edit or change the configuration item on the submitted CR?

This is best done with the help of the change management team in your organization. They decided when to lock the field from being edited.

The CR is already on a Prepare state. The user is asking to change the configuration item which is not already editable. So I am asking is there a way to modify it.

As a best practice, Change process requires reset of the lifecycle (reject/back to new, etc) , not change of the CI while it is in progress. You can try the script @shivangi k kindly provided.
