Hello @Asha ,

Not sure what exactly you are looking for. Your question seems too broad.

To configure a brand new ServiceNow instance, you need to follow different steps depending on the type of instance you want to create. Here are some general guidelines for each type of instance:

  • To configure a new production or sub-production instance, you need to contact ServiceNow and request an instance activation. You will need to provide some information, such as your company name, contact details, preferred data center location, and desired release version. You will also need to sign a contract and pay a fee for the ServiceNow subscription. Once your request is approved, ServiceNow will create and activate your instance and send you the login credentials and URL.
  • To configure a new personal developer instance, you need to register for a free account on the ServiceNow Developer Program website. You will need to provide some information, such as your name, email address, and password. You will also need to agree to the terms and conditions of the program. Once you register, you can log in to the website and request a personal developer instance. You can choose from different release versions and regions for your instance. You will then receive an email with the login credentials and URL for your instance. You can then access your instance and start learning and experimenting with ServiceNow features.

Some of the first to-dos after configuring a new ServiceNow instance are:

  • Set up your user profile and preferences, such as your name, email, password, language, time zone, etc. You can do this by clicking on your name in the banner frame and selecting Profile or Preferences.
  • Explore the ServiceNow interface and navigation, such as the banner frame, application navigator, content frame, filter navigator, breadcrumbs, etc.
  • Learn about the ServiceNow applications and modules that are available for your role and license. You can do this by expanding the application menus in the application navigator and selecting the modules that interest you
  • Review the ServiceNow documentation and resources that can help you with your tasks and goals. You can do this by clicking on the Help icon in the banner frame and selecting Documentation, Community, Knowledge Base, etc

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Swarnadeep
