Hi @mrideout
Practically it is very tough, without prior experience but it doesn't mean you cant get it. Try to build your network and keep learning , hands on and build your skill.

I had a coworker who was leaving the organization and turned over BMC Footprints to me. That was my first experience managing any sort of ITSM platform. After years using Footprints, my organization decided to switch to ServiceNow. Completely different and much more robust but having some ITSM experience made it easier to learn ServiceNow and take on a role as a admin using their platform. Additionally, I've done the Admin Fundamentals and the Admin Advanced training which were both very useful.

Hi @mrideout ,
To get a job without experience can be very hard and almost not possible. The things you need to do:
- Keep learning the platform and take certifications to document your knowledge
- Expand your network and participate in any events possible.
- Apply, apply and apply - don't give up.
If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as accepted solution and give a thumb up.

Hi mrideout,
If this is something you are interested in then it is deffinately worth spending time doing any free SN micro certs, and getting involved with this community and places like Reddit to see what type of issues people oftern post about.
Use your PID to practice and play with the system. I'd recommend looking at finding a simple project specification and see how you can implement it so you get a deeper understanding of what is possible.
I am still new to SN myself, only been using the system for about 2 months. There is a lot to learn, so take your time and do not overwhelm yourself with anything but the basics for now.
Good luck!
Best regards,
Andy
