I am looking to migrate to Security Center in the coming days, I am relatively new to ServiceNow and am wondering if the ISC needs to be uninstalled in order to install Security Center or if the best practice is to run both for some time until Security Center is configured correctly. Additionally, would there be a conflict if both are existing in the same instance? My instances are on Utah.

Hi @c_correa133
The old Instance Security Center is running on the Service Portal technology and it's actually not possible to "uninstall" a Service Portal (you not even can deactivate it).
The new Security Center is built on the new Next Experience framework and thus both can run in parallel.
And any migrating is not possible as the checks of the old Instance Security Center are managed/built differently.
Let me know if you have any further questions
Maik

Hi,
The ISC is part of the base platform, and cannot be uninstalled, so when migrating to the Security Center, you can just leave the old app alone.
As the Security Center is a stand-alone application I cannot see that there should be any conflicts in running both on the same instance, but to be sure, you can raise a ticket in the support to get confirmation.
