Multi SSO - SAML 2 - System Administrator - How to bypass SSO?

Hello Experts,

 

I am supporting client with SAML integration with ServiceNow for our dev system. Have 2 clarifications while referring to the documentation.

 

  1. If I activate the SAML configuration, will I as system admin still be able to log in? The best practice is to use login.do i.e URL manipulation?
  2. Before I proceed to activate, I have to Test Connection. When I attempt, popup-window appeared. Is this expected? Hope the screenshot clarifies.

Hi @AdamSaniS 

If you configure your profile in ServiceNow instance with user name and password, you should be able to login bypassing SSO using login.do page. Please ensure you test this before activating SSO.

 

Yes, to activate SSO, you need to perform test connection using SSO authenticated account. The test connection page should generally redirect you to IdP page for authentication depends on which IdP is configured. Hope it answers your query.
