Order Guide - using list collector to select from software catalog then triggering via RITM

i'm working on developing an order guide where i have a list collector for software. what i am struggling with is an easy way to trigger them when they're selected. i know i can go and do a "included Items" trigger for each one...but we have roughly 60 pieces of software to pick from, and more hardware. is there an easy way to do what i'm wanting?

A possible solution could be to show the software Catalog Items in the List Collector and after submit create a Requested Item for each Catalog Item selected in the list collector. However you would need to manually create variable records and Requested Item records for each Catalog Item so that you can associate the new Requested Items with the existing Request generated by the Order Guide. Though the easier situation is to not have questions for these software Catalog Items at all. Otherwise it could become cumbersome to collect needed information after the submission of the Order Guide. If there are software Catalog Items that currently have options, those should be broken up into individual Catalog Item/option - thus getting rid of the need for options.
