Is there any way to run a report or view the last time a user used their ITIL role? We are reviewing our licenses, and I suspect there are a lot of used licensed that aren't being utilized. I would like to see if there is a way to show licenses that are assigned but not being used.

Hi,
Unfortunately, there isn't an out of box method where you can run a report to say: show me a list of ITIL users who haven't used their itil permissions. Since itil contains many different permissions across the ITSM application, you'd probably first want to run a report against those who have that role and haven't logged in within 'x' number of days, then send a notice to their manager and then try to reclaim licenses that way as a start, then get more aggressive from there, etc.
Please consider marking my reply as Helpful and/or Accept Solution, if applicable. Thanks!

Thank you! This is the answer I was expecting, but thought maybe I was missing something.

Hi Allen, I tried creating a report using the User Role table, but am not seeing the condition you're referring to "login"/"last login". I tried different variations and am coming up short.

Here is what I did. Create report from sys_user_has_role and my condition was "role is itil" and then I had to dot walk to get the right login information into my report. In the "Available" section at the top right, click "User[+]" and then click the plus in the center. This will bring up more options that are related to the user selection. Now simply look for the new option that should be available that says "last login" and click the right area to bring it over. Then click run and you should now see the user's last login date available in the report.
