ServiceNow is the most powerful tool and has high visibility in the market.

Personally i started out as an administrator and have been into multiple roles as a developer, technical lead and slowly venturing into the architect space.

With the passing years, i am seeing growth and more things to learn.

I am not new in SN , i am using SN since 2014 and i can say yes it is growing and growing., I see the development in SN from UI 15 to next experience. 

Regarding journey, these journeys will provide you a good understanding but to go more deep, you need to do hands on. Also, you previous skill also matters here, if you have domain experience it can be more good like you worked as HR, so HRSD is good for you to learn.
