We are using Service Exchange - Foundation Data Sync (FDS) to synchronize CMDB data.
When a CMDB FDS offering is subscribed on the consumer instance, ServiceNow automatically creates 'ETL Transform Map' that is accessible from the Subscription Item record.
These ETL Transform Maps appear to be tightly coupled to Subscription Item and FDS request.
When attempting to promote these ETL Transform Maps to another environment using Update Sets, we encounter errors related to missing references.
As a result, it appears that ETL Transform Maps would need to be created or modified directly in each environment, including PROD, which is not considered a best practice.
We are looking for guidance on the recommended and supported approach for managing and promoting FDS‑generated CMDB ETL Transform Maps across environments.
