Consumer Orders using Product Offerings ?

Hello,

Does ServiceNow support placing orders for consumers?( B2C model)

On my instance , when I try to place an order, Account is always required, but for B2C models, consumers aren't tied to Accounts.  I'm curious + am I missing something here?

Yes. Orders are possible for Consumers and just like Account, the Product Inventory can be associated to the Consumer. There is a difference in the way the hierarchy is modelled. Account has Parent Account / Child Account relationship. . Consumer is part of a Household.

@JagB @I am on the CSM Workspace. When I try to create a new Order, it forces me to select an Account record. I think I figured it out, check these screenshots. The Account field disappears only if I select Contact. I wonder if it makes sense to have this popup ask 'Are you ordering it for a consumer or an account or a contact under an account' something like that.
Thank you !! Screenshot 2026-05-21 at 11.50.56 AM.pngScreenshot 2026-05-21 at 11.51.07 AM.png
