How to populate the "Rack Utilization" in the Rack UI View?

NicklasA

Hi,

I have created in the Network Inventory Workspace:

  • Equipment Holder Model (Model category = Equipment Rack, Name = Rack)
  • Equipment Holder Model (Model category = Slot, Name = Rack Slot)
  • Network Model Relationship (Type = Rack to Slot, Child = Rack Slot, Parent = Rack)
  • Inventory Template (Model = Rack, Name = Rack Template) This one populated 42 Rack Slots.
  • Change Request (Create Rack)

My Equipment:

  • Equipment Model (Model category = Server, Height(U) = 2, Name = My Equipment)
  • Network Model Relationship (Type = Rack Slot to Equipment, Child = My Equipment, Parent = Rack Slot, Root = Rack)
  • Inventory Template (Model = My Equipment, Name = Equipment Template)
  • Change Request (Create Inventory Equipment)

My Rack and Equipment can be viewed in the UI and seems to be working but the "Rack utilization" does not do anything. I can see the equipment inside the Rack. What am I missing here?

Hi Nicklas-

This is a known defect which will be fixed in the next release of TNI (August 2024). We will also be adding allocated power and bearable weight metrics to the rack view.

Good things coming in the Xanadu release for TNI!

Thanks,

Kevin
