OMT - Inflight Order Revision Process

(OMT Module) regarding questions in how ServiceNow updates the "version" field on the Customer Order and Customer Order Line-Item records within OMT.  These fields are essentially "control" fields and are not meant to be updated by scoped applications using OMT. 

 

Question: How do we update the version when change order comes from Web Portal? when the customer order and order line items are in-progress. Need some solution for, without updating the version number manually/programmatically.

I have tried change the order line item from In-progress to In-Revision then Acknowledgement and it went to InProgress but there is no update in the Revision. 

 

Is there any OOB functionality or Business rule exist to change version number when order get supplements(change). Kindly advise.

Hi @shanramesh , the version number of an Order is set/incremented only during an Inflight Change/Cancel of an Order. Your need and problem statement is not very clear. May I ask, what are you trying to achieve and why is the OOTB behaviour not meeting your needs?
