I did what is detailed below:
Task Instructions:
1. Impersonate 'Platform User'.
2. Set your instance preferences to show date and time formats on forms.
3. Set your instance preferences to show help tips on forms.
But the Validate Task is always failing. And give me this link to confirm that I did what is correct, and I did correctly.
Did you change the 'show date and time format on forms' setting in user preferences?
I did this to Platform USER as mentioned and tried to do it with the other user. Same Error.

Hi @janelleD - Happy to help you get this solved.
Firstly, I wanted to check you are definitely using the right instance. Can I confirm the instance you're using was generated by clicking on the button from within the course, as shown in the attached screenshot?
If so, once you attempt to valiate the task, and it fails, you will receive a message explaining why it failed. Can you share a screenshot of what is displayed at that point?

@janelleD I was having the same issue but managed to resolve it.
This is what i did to resolve it:
- Close your instance and the tab it is open in.
Clear your cache for the browser you are using (History>Delete History) - Make sure only the clear cached images and files options is selected, i selected time range as last 24 hours.
Once i cleared my cached images and files, I then reopened the instance and followed the steps and this time when i validated the task it worked.
Best of luck!

I have been fighting with the same issue, changed my browser, cleared the cache, terminated the simulator, and requested a new simulator but I still keep getting the failed message.
Steps are:
Logged into the simulator.
Impersonate another user
change the settings in accessibility and display close the windows
and validate.
but it keeps failing.
