Unable to set admin role to a User

Hello Community,

 

    I have already admin, security_admin and user_admin roles.

On our Instance recently updated to Zurich, I am unable to add/remove the admin role to a User.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @psypniew 

Did you try again after running cache.do? Also, since this is an upgrade issue, it would be better to log a new support case with the SN.

Issue

Admin users were unable to add the 'admin' role to other users. Attempting to associate the role with a user, the admin was brought back to the user record with no info-message stating the role was added and the 'admin' role was missing from the 'Roles' related list.

Cause

The cause was that a plugin was activated and an application admin role was associated with the admin role. For users to get the admin role, it would require another admin user who has all the required scoped admin roles.

Resolution

Remove any application admin roles from the system level admin and grant them to application-specific admin users.
