Autopopulate Configuration Item based on Category and vicer-versa in the Change Request Table

Hello All,

      In the Change Request Table I want to have only those CIs based on category selected. Alternatively, if user selects CI related to say, Hardware then Category should be automatically populated. 

How can I approach this? What's the best practice to get this done.
