CAB Workbench - Approvals by CAB members, Notifications

Hello Community -

 

We have implemented CAB Workbench to manage our weekly CAB agenda, attendance, meeting minutes and approvals. We use a managed service partner in our process management for CAB and currently, the CAB managers from our service partner have the role to approve changes in the workbench. We've made some initial decisions based on our role of our managed Service Partner and management of our own ServiceNow instance. For instance,

  • CAB members, attendees, change owners are not all in the same location - global in different locations and time zones.
  •  We are not using all possible functionality delivered with CAB Workbench and I would like to know what others are doing in their practice with CAB and CAB Workbench.
  1. Change Approvals - We have our CAB managers complete the approval for CAB - our CAB 'body' of members do not signal an approval within ServiceNow. Have you provided the approval role to CAB members to enable them to signal approval or denial of a change reviewed at CAB using the Workbench?
  2. Notifications to join CAB - CAB workbench has the features to notify the change owner when their change is upcoming. Is anyone using this option and if you are, how do you have the notifications configured?
  3. Hybrid Meeting process using MS Teams Screen Share and CAB members logged into CAB Workbench - How are you navigating the facilitation of the CAB Meeting through CAB Workbench when attendees to the weekly CAB are virtual (not all in the same location or same time zone)?

Our ServiceNow release version is Utah.
