I am setting up approval workflows for ITSM and testing it out. From the workflow, catalog task should be created if the RITM is approved. This works fine when i approve RITM as a System Administrator in the Native UI.
However, when the Approval is done via Employee center or Native UI when impersonating the approver, the catalog task is not created even though it shows as Approved.
The REQ is also auto-approved according to OOB configuration.
Has anyone come across this issue before? How can i solve it?

I am experiencing the same issue. Did you find a solution to this?

Does the workflow error or it just doesn't acknowledge your approval via impersonation or Employee Center?

It acknowledges the approval but doesnt create a task which is the next step in the workflow.
I did get a workaround though. My workflow was set to run as user who initiates session. So i changed it to system user and this seems to fix the issue.
Thanks!

No workflow error. Approval is acknowledged but workflow does not proceed to next stage.
I was able to fix this by setting the workflow to run as system user instead of as user who initiates the session.
Thank you.
