Chart groups based on filter expressions

Dear community, 

I love creating ITSM-reports in ServiceNow and came across a possible feature which I am unsure if it exists or if it's possible to realize. 

When creating any kind of chart (pie, bar, ...) you can group by the attributes of the table (for example task --> group by assignment group, task type, ...) 

Now i wondered if it was possible to create your own grouping based on filter expressions - like for example creating a chart that shows the CreatedDate of the task as grouping but I would like to display tickets with age 1-3 days, 4 to 14 days, 15 to 60 days and older. 

So technically creating grouping-categories (probably a bad name) like: 

Name: 1-3 days; Filter-Expression: Created between 1 day and 3 days ago 

Name 4-14 days; Filter-Expression: Created between 4 and 14 days

and so on... 

 

Not explicitly with this example, but defining the areas of your pie (which I called grouping-categories) based on whatever filter-expression you want.

Another example could be:

Name: Corporate Functions; Filter expression Department IS ONE OF Sales, IT, Finance

Name: Product Functions; Filter expression: Department IS NOT ONE OF Sales, IT, Finance

 

Having this in the normal Report Creation would allow you even to have the normale filter expressions on top (like the second example but filtered to tickets created this year for example). 

 

Not sure if anyone understands what I am aiming for and if there is a functionality for that or not (without creating your own table/view/fields - solely in the reporting).
