Get User first selected topic in Virtual agent Servicenow !!

Hi Experts,

 

Please help me in fetching user's first selected topic or promoted topic inorder to populate the same in the short description of the incident created via incident topic block.

I have use system variable vaSystem.getSearchText(); to return user first search text but this is not returning value if user not provide any text and instead select a promoted topic its throwing me error like technical issues.

Kindly help me with the script to return the first topic if user selects it or first text if user enters in the chat.
