I wanted to create a report in ServiceNow which should show total number of incidents whose state is new, acknowledged, in progress and on hold except resolved, closed and cancelled on every weekend for this year(2025) irrespective of when the incident is created.
I tried generating a report, but it's now working as expected as ServiceNow can't find if any incident is active in that particular week or not. Please help me in generating the report.

1. Create a new automated indicator with indicator source 'Incidents.Created'
2. Create a breakdown with Incident.State field
3. Create a dashboard and add newly created automated indicator KPI
4. You can use time aggregation and breakdown to view the data as per your requirements
You are looking for trend analysis of incidents grouped by state and you need to create PA Indicators for this requirement and would not be feasible with reports.
If this helped to answer your query, please mark it helpful & accept the solution.

Hi @Admin7267 ,
notice that ServiceNow report module runs the report when you open it. If you have not captured a fixed date, it will not show historical state other than created, resolved and closed.
for your requirement, I would for sure recommend performance analytics - do you have this available on your instance?
If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.
