Help needed for creating a report in dashboard

I wanted to create a report in ServiceNow which should show total number of incidents whose state is new, acknowledged, in progress and on hold except resolved, closed and cancelled on every weekend for this year(2025) irrespective of when the incident is created.

 

I tried generating a report, but it's now working as expected as ServiceNow can't find if any incident is active in that particular week or not. Please help me in generating the report.

Ok, that's a good start 🙂 How well known are you with creating indicator sources and automated indicators according to your requirement? If not well known, I would recommend to take the official training from ServiceNow University, as this will give you the basic foundation understanding of the capabilities.

Whatever the solution you land on, you will want to be aware of the potential licensing implications of allowing that user to modify the state field. My assumption is that this would potentially make that user a fulfiller.
