We currently have the Vancouver iteration of ServiceNow IT Service Management and I have found the assistance page showing base roles etc. however I was wondering if there is a downloadable PDF or Excel version for a better overall view.
I was also wondering if besides the base roles and configuring custom role there are any other out of the box ones I might be missing. I have chosen the Role Inheritance Map several times and was wondering how to decipher the colors and types viewable.

You give a try to my self-implemented feature Visualize User's Role Inheritance Map
That kind of visualization offers several benefits:
-
Clear Understanding: It provides users with a clear visual representation of their role hierarchy, allowing them to understand their access rights and permissions more intuitively.
-
Transparency: Users can easily see how their roles are inherited from parent roles, providing transparency into the access control model and helping to prevent misunderstandings or errors.
-
Efficient Troubleshooting: When users encounter access issues or discrepancies, they can quickly identify the source by navigating the collapsible tree to trace their role inheritances.
-
Training and Onboarding: It serves as a valuable tool for training new users or onboarding employees, helping them grasp the complex role structure more effectively.
-
Audit and Compliance: Administrators and auditors can use the visualization to perform access reviews, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations by verifying that access rights are appropriately assigned and managed.
-
Streamlined Access Management: Administrators can use the visualization to streamline access management processes, making it easier to identify and resolve access conflicts or inconsistencies.
