Virtual agent language translations and triggers

Hello,

 

I'm new to Virtual agent and I have created a topic block. I want to know how to trigger German or any other language queries in VA. I have a requirement of around 10-12 different languages and will also be adding translated documents on service portal. I have some questions.

 

1) Do we have to translate all the documents and publish them on ITSP?

2) How will the topic block fetch the knowledge article for instance if I have same article in German and English if a user with preferred language German asks for something in German will the VA represent the German article or not? right now it is saying unable to understand my query. How to achieve this?
