Pointing to sn-va-web-client-app.do when user clicks on button.

We have several different business areas that have chat queues - on one of our portal pages, there are different Connect Support widgets that a user can pick from and clicking on one of them opens chat_support.do with that specific connect support chat queue.

We are doing a proof of concept for virtual agent with only one of the business areas.  They would like the portal page to look the same but when the user clicks on Chat Now for their chat queue, the user is directed to the virtual agent first and then has the option to switch to a live agent.

I'm looking for some ideas on how I could configure this (not opposed to a custom widget to accomplish this).  Ideally, if they click on the button, I'd like the $sn-va-web-client-app.do page to open similar to the chat_support.do page but I am open to suggestions - right now, it just opens that page which isn't very user friendly - would like it to at least open a new smaller window for the user to interact with the virtual agent.  Because we are only doing a pilot with one business area, we don't really want to put a virtual agent icon on the page, we want the user to start out the way they normally would if they wanted to initiate a chat with this specific business area.

Thank you for any suggestions!

Hi Miriam,

I have seen the Virtual Agent being opened as a side panel.
