Unable to remove end node in virtual agent designer

 How can I remove or move end node?

I am curious, why do you want to remove the end?

I discovered that the end is rather important for the out of box analytics.

That's normal behavior if there is only one line to the end node. As there ALWAYS needs to be one connected. If you have multiple, then you can remove them (until only one is left).

So works as expected and how it is intended.

As Mark stated, there has to be at least one flow pointing to the end.  I have learned to have every flow in a topic point to the end. 

I asked the Why question since there is probably a solution that can be provided. What do you want Virtual Agent doing after that component?
