Virtual Agent Contextual Search on knowledge and catalog fails to return catalog items

When I specify a Search Context that has > 1 Resource Configurations in a Contextual Search utility, only knowledge records are returned.

To reproduce:

1. Create a new Search Context and choose 'Catalog only' for the searcher. Configure Contextual Search utility in VA Topic to use it and test with a term that should get hits in both resources. Only catalog results are returned.

2. Create a new Search Context and choose 'Knowledge only' for the searcher. Configure Contextual Search utility in VA Topic to use it and test with a term that should get hits in both resources. Only KB results are returned.

3. Create a new Search Context and choose 'Knowledge and catalog' for the searcher. Configure Contextual Search utility in VA Topic to use it and test with a term that should get hits in both resources. KBs are returned. No catalog results are returned.

 

It seems we can't get combined results from KB and catalog. Anyone else run into this?

Tried bothe suggestions and still no luck.

Can you share the search context and search context sys_id in the topic designer.

But, our Service Portal search returns results from both sources:
