Plugin's latest version is available in sub-prod Instances but not in production

Hi Everyone,

Service Mapping Plus plugin is avaiable to install in its latest version 1.16.3 in sub-production Instances, but available only in 1.14.1 in Production Instance. Due to the version differences, some features like Tag based Service Mapping are not available in Production.

All Sub-prod and prod Instances are in same realease Yokohoma. why is the latest version not avaiable in Production ?

Hi @Madhan007,

 

ensure that both of the environments are not on the same version but also the same patch...

 

Eventually check for any dependencies but I believe that shall be mentioned before trying to install the latest plugin version.

 

If it's surely 1:1 the same upgrade version and same patch, and it's impacting PROD then wait no more, go and create a Case for SN team to assist you:

In most cases this happens because even though both instances share the same major release (e.g. Yokohama), they may not be on the same patch level or the same underlying build, and the plugin version availability in production remains at 1.14.1 until the production instance is updated with the required patch or the plugin is explicitly installed from the ServiceNow Store; in other words, sub prod often gets plugin updates earlier (or automatically after a clone/upgrade), while production requires a manual install or entitling via the Store......so before, it’s worth verifying via stats.do that both instances are truly identical in patch level and then, if they are, submitting a case with ServiceNow support if the newer plugin version still doesn’t show up......
