Servicenow workflow

Hi Everyone,

We got to hear that Servicenow will stop the support of workflows and before the end of year or may be after a few releases everybody will have to migrate to flows. Is this statement true?
If Yes, then by when shall we expect such a drastic change and till what level would Servicenow provide support to its customers in this activity?

Hi @Ankit GSK ,

I am on the Workflow and Flow Designer team. As of this moment, there are no plans to deprecate Workflow.

Internally, ServiceNow continues to migrate existing out-of-the-box automation from Workflow to Flow Designer, but ServiceNow does not require customers to migrate their worfklows.

As Brad mentions in his response, if ServiceNow decides in the future to deprecate Workflow (or any other product), ServiceNow will inform customers at least three releases in advance.

From where did you find this communication?

Did you receive any official communication on HI portal?

I don't think they will remove support for workflows.

Not everything present in workflow can be achieved using flow designer so don't worry

If my response helped please mark it correct and close the thread so that it benefits future readers.

I don't think we've announced anything, but we do publish timelines for changes and deprecation to plugins and applications in the release notes here: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/vancouver-release-notes/page/administer/plugins/reference/plugin-...

You'll notice in the Vancouver release notes we've announced deprecations in the W and X releases of various plugins.
