Can the workplace profile user name be shown directly on the map?

In the previous Facilities application, the username was displayed directly on the map, with map details present on the side.
In indoor mapping, it only shows the space name, and any information from the workplace profile is shown on the side when you click on the space.
Also, one other big difference is in the Facilities map product, you could filter to highlight empty spaces, there doesn't seem to be a similar functionality.
NOTE: We are not using reservations/portal. I'm just hoping to see this functionality from the "location directory" view, from the Employee Center portal.

FYI, I upgraded one of our sandboxes to the FEB release, and I don't have an "eye" icon on my maps. Is it just me?

I can't see the eye symbol either. I enabled the map property "Enable display of permanent seat assignments on map" as well. Not sure what we are missing.

Thanks, Tiffany, for letting me know you're having the same issue. I also just set that property in the same sandbox, and it made no difference when using the map directory (I also cleared system cache and logged out/in to be sure).

Found it. After upgrading to the Feb release, there are a few steps you need to follow to get this to work.
Display permanent seat assignments on floor maps (servicenow.com)
NOTE: For me, step 1g, I was using place types, and the checkbox wasn't on the form, but I just added the "Displayed in map filter" field to my list view so I could update multiple place types.
Once I did that, the "eye" was available on the map view.
However, this isn't set for every user (by default). I tried to mimic the user preference setting for the null user, but it didn't work. (menu.08771d0cc0a8016401f604303b94b999.expanded true).
So, while it is now an option, I don't yet have a way to just "turn it on" for everyone.

I have the option to toggle the "Display employee names for permanent seat assignments instead of space names" field on the map once I open the "eye" filter option but only on the location directory map and interactive map on catalog requests. I don't have the option on the Reservation Portal map. Any thoughts as to why that would be happening by chance?
Thanks!
