Indoor Mapping - Upload new file button not working

I've been having a problem with a button in Indoor Mapping - Map Studio - Configure Floor, that isn't working as I expected. I'm not sure if there is a problem, or if I'm misunderstanding the use of a button because it doesn't seem to be consistent.
I thought the "Upload new file" button was for when an update to an existing map was made. More/fewer desks, added walls, etc. However it doesn't seem to work as I expected. For the maps we created and are using in location directory/reservations when I try to go into Map Studio and select a campus, select the building, go to the floor and floor plan sources, configure, select upload new file, and then select the drawing, and click on upload it doesn't seem to do anything. A progress bar appears and fills, then it goes back to the floor as it had been previously.
If I do the same thing with a new floor just created, I can use the upload new file button and it works as I expect it to and when the progress bar fills the floor is changed to the new drawing.
Am I misunderstanding the use of this button? Or is this perhaps something I should open a case about?
