Spaces are not available to book after user has checked out

Heyllo All, Recently we observed that the spaces are not available after the users are checked out. Which means if a user books a space for entire day and somehow if the user checked out the reservation, the space still shows as blocked/booked. 

 

Do we have any OOTB scheduled job which makes spaces available to book? I remember we had scheduled job which runs everyday at 23:45, but that does not seems the correct one or maybe the new plugin upgrade changed?.

Hello @Raj_Esh, checking out a reservation before the end time will update the end time of the reservation itself. When employees want to reserve the space, please ensure the start time used in the search is after the end time of the previous reservation. For example, if the end time is 12:01, the start time should be 12:02.

Hi @Arvid Thank you for the explaining how it works. The issue was we have enabled "all day" by default and since the space is already booked for entire day but checked out before the end time. Thus, it was showing entire day as booked and not available.

Hi @Raj_Esh,

 

Check to see that the ‘Auto-release on Early Check-out’ setting is enabled. This setting releases a room as soon as a user checks out early.

  • Workplace Reservation Management > Administration > Reservation Settings

You may also want to check Buffer Time Settings (E.g., 15 min for cleaning). Adjust or disable the buffer time if you want rooms to be available immediately after check-out.

  • Workplace Reservation Management > Space Configuration > Buffer Time
