Add a business capability to a business unit

    • Add existing business capabilities to a business unit in Enterprise Architecture Workspace, or create a business capability directly from the business unit record.

    Before you begin

    Role required: sn_apm.apm_user

    Procedure

    1. Navigate to Workspaces > Enterprise Architecture Workspace.
    2. Open the Portfolio List view by selecting the Portfolio icon ().
    3. Select the expand row icon () next to Business Architecture.
    4. Select Business Units.
    5. Select the business unit that you want to add a business capability to.
    6. Select the Related business capabilities tab.
    7. Add a business capability using one of the following methods.
      • To add an existing business capability:
        1. Select Add.
        2. In the Add business capability window, search for and select the business capability.
        3. Select Add.
      • To create a business capability, select New and complete the fields on the form. For field descriptions, see Create business capability form.

    Result

    The business capability appears in the Related business capabilities related list for the business unit.
