Request repair of defective hardware assets in your stockroom

As an asset manager, you can get the defective hardware assets in your stockroom repaired by creating repair orders.

You can request repair of defective hardware assets through any of the following options:

• Request repair of hardware assets using Service Catalog
• Create repair orders for hardware assets in the Inventory view
• Request repair of a hardware asset using the Repair option

Remarque :

Consider the following points when you create a repair order:

• You can't request repair of the following assets:
  • Consumables
  • Assets that are part of any other workflow
• You can request repair of a child asset only if you have added its parent asset to the repair order. However, assets in the pallets can be repaired.

• Request repair of hardware assets using Service Catalog
  Submit a Service Catalog request to repair hardware assets that are defective or pending repair in your stockroom.
• Create repair orders for hardware assets in the Inventory view
  Request repair of hardware assets that are defective or pending repair by creating a repair order in the Inventory view of the Hardware Asset Workspace.
• Request repair of a hardware asset using the Repair option
  Request repair of a defective hardware asset in your stockroom directly through an option on the asset form.
