View upgraded processes or records

  • You can track and review base system records or processes in the global domain that may have been overridden by you in any other domain. You can also review later records in the global domain that changed as part of a platform upgrade.

    Antes de Iniciar

    Role required: domain_admin or admin
    Nota:
    Advanced features require read access to all process tables. A user with the Admin role is recommended.

    Procedimento

    1. Navigate to ALL > Domain Admin > Upgraded Overridden Processes.
    2. Review the information in the dashboard's Summary tab.
      Nota:
      You can sort the dashboard by either admin reviewed or non-reviewed records with the Reviewed drop-down menu.

      Dashboard metric Description
      Overridden Records by Table Name A graphical list of all overridden records, sorted by table name.
      Overridden Record Count The total number of overridden records.
      Nota:
      Select the displayed number to open a list of all overridden records.
      Overridden Records List Shows information for all overridden records.
    3. Select the Upgraded Overridden Domain Records to view the Summary information in more detail:

      Metric Description
      File Name Name of the upgrade file.
      Process Name Name of the process that is changed post upgrade.
      Table Name of the table that holds the updated records.
      Upgrade Date The time when the record was upgraded.
      Change Type What was done with the upgrade file
      Reviewed Whether the override record has been reviewed by an admin.
      Release Version Indicates the version or release name where the record was updated.

      You can filter this table with Boolean operators.

      Nota:
    4. Select a file name to view its associated overridden record. This shows the following information about the override:

      Field Description
      Table Name of the table that holds the updated records.
      Upgrade History The identifier for the upgrade that generated this override record.
      File Name Name of the upgrade file.
      Upgrade Date The time when the record was upgraded.
      Process Name Name of the process that is changed post upgrade.
      Change Type What was done with the upgrade file
      Review Notes Brief notes or closing comments added by the admin after global record changes are reviewed.
      Release Version Indicates the version or release name where the record was updated.
    5. From Related Links, you can select:

      Link Description
      Show Related Record Directly opens the affected global record that was overridden as a result of the upgrade.
      Preview Overrides Provides a table of all records that are overriding this global record.
      Nota:
      You will need the Admin role to use these features.
    6. Under the Related Links is the Override Processes table, which shows:

      Process Name Name of the process (for example, Business Rule, UI Action, or Deactivate Audit) that is overriding the upgraded global record.
      Domain Name Name of the domain in which the process is overriding the upgraded global record.
      Nota:
      You will need the Admin role to use these features.
    7. You can check a process name then select Compare to display it in a side by side view that shows the differences between it and the global version.

    If you are an admin, you can select Reviewed to indicate to future reviewers that you have reviewed this incoming change from the upgrade.
