Valérie Bécaert is VP of AI Research at ServiceNow, where she leads ServiceNow AI Research, a team at the frontier of enterprise AI, advancing the science of trustworthy, agentic systems. Her work focuses on grounding, accuracy, resilience, and memory in AI systems built for real-world enterprise complexity. A builder at heart, Valérie co-founded IVADO in 2015, growing it from a project within the Campus Montréal funding campaign into one of Canada’s leading AI institutes — a consortium uniting academia, industry, and government around applied AI research and talent development. She joined ServiceNow through the Element AI acquisition, bringing with her a rare ability to bridge rigorous research with industrial impact. Throughout her career, Valérie has been driven by a consistent mission: creating the conditions for researchers to do their best work, and multiplying the societal and economic impact of research. She has led teams through periods of growth and transformation alike, earning a reputation for strategic clarity, directness, and deep investment in the people she leads. Beyond ServiceNow, Valérie sits on the boards of the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) and TechnoCompétences, where she serves as board president. Valérie holds an engineering degree and a Ph.D., and is based in Montréal.
