ServiceNow Migration

Hey all,

ok here it is, the mother of all evils.

We are looking at migrating an entirely different instance to our current instance, merging data, service catalog, current/historical data, portal, the works.

We reached out to ServiceNow and they have consulting services to assist with this, of course.  However, has anyone been through this, and perhaps would have some insight on the process.  There are so many tables, reference d and referencing, how does one plan for data migration?

Service Catalog a good one to start, how do you capture an entire service request including workflow, scripts, variables, policies etc with out actually touching each object for update set inclusion?

Any information you can provide would be most helpful.

Thanks a bunch!

If you can I'd recommend capturing the customization in a scoped application to allow easier management and differentiation in the target instance. You might also want to make use of the Add to Update Set Utility (https://developer.servicenow.com/connect.do#!/share/contents/9824957_add_to_update_set_utility?v=8&t...)  to capture the existing catalog items, flow, etc.
