There is something wrong with my account, it appears it is linked to two developer instances.
The main instance, and the one I wish to keep using is dev166161, this is the one launched by the 'Start Building' button.
Check the date (it is now)
However, currently dev147171 is the one that appears on 'Manage Instance Password'
Previously it was dev117724.
I have released or lost to inactivity instances several times but every time I request a new instance, I always get back to dev166161 - which is great because I have tons of client work tested on it, but unfortunately I constantly hit 'inactivity' time outs because I aparently need to keep two instances awake!

Hi,
There is a problem with my account.
When I logged back in after a timeout, another instance was tied to my account and I could no longer log in to the original instance.
The original instance is "dev147302" and I am still unable to log in.
And the email address that the original instance was associated with is now associated with another instance "dev207595".
Is it possible to restore the connection to the original instance so that I can log in again?
I hope this issue can be resolved.

@kaikai, this same issue has been affecting me for months. You will get emails about inactivity for the instance found in the manage password section, but your 'Start Building' button may link you to the original instance.
I released, or lost due to inactivity 3 instances, but still this issue remained.
However, I got another inactivity warning yesterday and released the instance again.
Finally, this time when I requested a new instance, my 'Start Building' button, and my 'Manage Instance Password' section reflect the same Dev instance name. It looks like the issue has been resolved.
I am quite surprised at the lack of Support from ServiceNow on this topic. I assumed they would know internally, that there are some issues that are worthy of support. This bug seems to qualify for being support-worthy.

@kaikaiunfortunately you will not be able to get any support. I waited for a long time and opened many requests for support and documented my problems.
No one will help, you should consider backing up update sets (if you can, releasing your instance, then requesting a new one.
Eventually after releasing my instance 4 times, I was able to have the 'Start building' button and 'Manage Passwords' to show/link to the same instance.
