It looks as though there is a widespread issue. Add dev76653 to the list of down instances that cannot be started.

My PDI dev66332 is still offline please help me to activate it. I don't have a backup for my data for my PDI. I didn't get any mail from ServiceNow regarding the inactivity instance warning of the instance.

Hi Kamini,

 

I had raised a question regarding PDI offline since it was in a maintenance mode. Now my PDI (dev99661) is showing as request a new instance and when I clicked on Restore instance, it's showing me Back ups not available.

 

Since this PDI is very essential for me, please help me to restore.

We have restored your instance over to dev57218 and assigned you the same. Can you take a look and let us know if you're having any issues?

We keep telling our users that please do not depend on these backups. We don't want people to rely on backups because they are actually not very reliable - they can be lost because the server that they were stored on has a hardware failure, or the backup failed to execute successfully.

Please ensure you are using update sets or a git integration to back up the changes you've made within your instance. This will help to mitigate this issue moving forward.

I just checked and my account is still showing no instances related to it.  If I go to the instance URL, it still says it's hibernating.

You may request a new instance by following the below steps:

Login to https://developer.servicenow.com >> click either "Start Building" or "Request Instance" on the top right-hand corner.

Developer instances are not guaranteed the same reliability as production instances - they can be lost due to hardware or backup failures.

I can't find my post.  I received a notice that my instance was going into maintenance, but still same issue.

Instance exists, won't stop hibernating, and isn't tied to my Developer Profile for some reason, though I keep getting emails that say it will be reclaimed.  I cannot restore it either.

Hi @Kamini Kansal 

the instance is still reachable, but I can´t log in, I have been working in an integration with NOZOMI.

The instance does not show in the dev portal anymore. Please reconnect https://dev73983.service-now.com/ with developer gjimenez@apollocom.com.mx again in order to finish my work.

I think this instance is not part of the instance offline issue as i can still reach it but not log on.

Hi Gmo,

Your previous developer instance (dev73983) has been reassigned to you. You will need to perform an 'Admin password reset' to regain access. Please ensure you are using update sets or a git integration to back up the changes you've made within your instance. This will help to mitigate this issue by moving forwards.

NOTE: The same developer instance is not usually reassigned to its previous user once they've been reclaimed/released. Once an instance is reclaimed, an automated process removes all configuration changes made, thus returning the instance to an out-of-the-box state.
